Hospiz Festival 2026
Hospiz is back at its home – Klösterle St. Florian. After a year away from the monastery, the return feels like a reason to go back to what this has always been about – open doors, unapologetic art selection and up-to-date relation to the scene.
The theme has shaped this year's curation. Coming Home is not about nostalgia, but about returning to the roots and asking what a home actually calls for. The monastery is ancient, layered, and specific – cold stone walls that have absorbed centuries of arrivals, narrow corridors, courtyards that hold sound and people in a way nothing else ever could.
Our curation aims to respond to that. Artists at Hospiz 2026 have been chosen for what they carry – creativity that translates their homes, backgrounds and experiences that feel lived-in and honest. Yet, it remains eclectic and free, the way it has always been, but with a sharpened sense of why.
The monastery is home for Hospiz – a place that gives shelter, hosts the curious, and protects what is fragile. This year the festival reflects on what it means to belong somewhere and where home is.
