Tradition has it that from 2015 Ludovico Einaudi closes the musical season at the Dal Verme Theater in Milan with a series of consecutive performances that make a sold out event every December, a sign that the Milanese appointment is much awaited and felt, as a special meeting between the artist and his audience. The concerts announced in the Sala Grande are nine, between 3 and 18 December.
The third edition of Climate Space, the review of auteur short films on the climate crisis, has been confirmed in the Small Room. The composer's sensitivity and commitment to environmental issues goes back a long way.
The Dal Verme concerts close a special year for Einaudi, entirely dedicated to Underwater, his first solo piano album of the last twenty years, released in January and immediately engaged in an international tour that in recent months is touching the main cities of ' Europe and UK. In June he will go to Mexico, the United States and Canada, and then return to Italy this summer, in a series of concerts immersed in the exciting scenery of oases and nature reserves, rock parks and archaeological sites, in time suspended between nature and human history.
With Ludovico Einaudi on the piano they will play Redi Hasa on the cello, Federico Mecozzi on the violin and Francesco Arcuri, electronics and percussion.
