Tesoro carissimo è la monografia dedicata al lavoro e alla ricerca di Sara Basta, edita da Viaindustriae e curata da Cecilia Canziani e Ilaria Gianni.
Intitolato come l’omonima mostra ospitata lo scorso anno negli spazi di IUNO, il progetto editoriale ripercorre la carriera dell’artista approfondendo alcuni dei temi che ne informano la pratica: la dimensione collettiva, che si esplicita tanto nel ricorso al formato laboratoriale quanto alla creazione partecipata dell’opera; quella dell’abitare, che implica anche un posizionamento politico; quella della cura che, evidentemente, soggiace alle prime due e che si manifesta all’interno della stessa pubblicazione.
Le voci chiamate a contribuirvi, infatti, non si limitano a delineare un profilo: tessono la sua la storia a partire dal sentimento d’amicizia che condividono, dalle urgenze che le accomunano.
Il risultato è un ritratto insieme personale e collettivo, un libro simile alla trama di un tessuto filato o intrecciato da molte mani, che racconta il tempo della creazione artistica, corrispondente a quello della vita.

Tesoro carissimo is the monograph dedicated to the work and research of Sara Basta, published by Viaindustriae and edited by Cecilia Canziani and Ilaria Gianni.
Titled after the eponymous exhibition hosted last year in the spaces of IUNO, the editorial project retraces the artist’s career, delving into some of the themes that inform her practice: the collective dimension, expressed both through the use of the workshop format and through the participatory creation of the artwork; that of dwelling, which also implies a political positioning; and that of care, which clearly underlies the first two and manifests itself within the publication itself.
The voices invited to contribute, in fact, do not limit themselves to outlining a profile: they weave her story starting from the feeling of friendship they share, from the urgencies that bring them together.
The result is a portrait that is at once personal and collective, a monograph resembling the texture of a fabric spun or woven by many hands, recounting the time of artistic creation as coinciding with that of life.
