Marine Guliashvili
A Georgian-Italian opera singer and lyric soprano, she earned a first degree in opera singing from the "V. Sarajishvili" Conservatory in Tbilisi and a second degree from the "G. Verdi" Conservatory in Milan. She also earned a diploma in piano and a diploma in choral conducting from the "Z. Paliashvili" Music High School in Tbilisi. She studied singing primarily with the renowned maestro Nodar Andghuladze. Having moved to Italy in 2006, she first attended the Academy of Lyric Art in Osimo, where she had the opportunity to take master classes with renowned singers such as Raina Kabaivanska, Lella Kuberli, Antonio Juvarra, William Matteuzzi, and others.
She earned a Certificate of Advanced Studies in vocal/instrumental teaching from the Helvetic Institute in Bellinzona (CH).
She has performed several operatic roles, especially at the Grand Hall in Tbilisi, which have highlighted "an interpretative sensitivity that, combined with her natural qualities and the pleasantness of her timbre, makes Guliashvili one of the future promises of opera and bel canto singing" ("Dilis Gazeti"). Among these, she has been particularly acclaimed in the roles of "Melissa" (Handel's Amadigi); "Pamina" and "Second Lady" (Mozart's The Magic Flute); Lisetta (Cimarosa's Secret Marriage); "Bastienne" (Mozart's Bastien et Bastienne); and "Gilda" (Verdi's Rigoletto).
She has also performed in numerous chamber music concerts and with orchestra and choir, primarily in Italy, alternating performances with singing and piano teaching. In 2009, she was chosen to pay tribute to soprano Daniela Dessì on the occasion of the awarding of the Città di Varese Prize.
Since 2009, she and pianist-composer Michel Frequin have formed the duo "Ventimariscelti," with whom they have created several musical theater productions with original texts and music by Michel Frequin, including "43 Tramonti," "The Little Prince," "AI_IA," and others. In 2025, she performed with the duo in Milan at the Palazzo delle Stelline in the "Immersivamente" festival with the show "Linee marine" and at the Villa Theater with "...e improvvisamente lirica."
She has received several awards in 2023, placing first in international competitions, both as a soloist and with the "Ventimariscelti" Duo, including the most recent ones: the Gabriel Fauré Music World Competition, the Fanny Mendelssohn Competition, the World's Best Musicians Competition, the Amadeus International Music Awards, and the Medici International Music Competition.
In 2024, she was invited to New York (USA) by the renowned soprano Carmela Altamura, who became her mentor for the Belcanto school and with whom she began a collaboration.
Also passionate about literature and cooking, she loves writing poetry and playing the flute.
